The Allstar Performance banner is in good hands once again for 2010. Long time Top Alcohol Dragster competitor and three time NHRA World Champion Bill Reichert traveled all the way from Owosso, Michigan to Houston, Texas for the O'Reily Auto Parts Springnationals, letting everyone know he's back for another run at a world championship. After capably surviving three rounds, including a victorious shot over top qualifier, Chris Demke, Bill went on to his 41st career final round appearance and his 21st victory, this one over one of his own engine customers, Monroe Guest. It was Guest's first-ever final and he was Reichert's 148th different career opponent. An interesting sidelight: Bill Reichert's win in the semifinals gave him 239 round wins, moving him past Rick Santos for the most round wins ever in Top Alcohol Dragster. Needless to say, it was a happy Reichert Racing Team that pulled out of Houston Raceway Park. The Reichert team's next appearance is at the Division III NHRA opener in Indianapolis.
