In a dramatic conclusion to the 2011 World of Outlaws Late Model Series season, Rick Eckert emerged as the WOOLMS National Champion at the immaculate Dirt Track at Charlotte on November 3-5! The huge weekend started on Thursday night with qualifying. With only a 14 point lead, Rick posted the eighteenth fastest lap for Friday's show and the ninth quickest lap for Saturday's program. The Allstar Performance Michigan Dirt Cup Modified Tour held their finale at Hartford (MI) Motor Speedway on Saturday October 1st in conjunction with the Annual Dealer's Choice weekend. Spring Lake, MI driver, Jacob Poel was the class of the huge 66 car modified field, topping NASCAR driver Ken Schrader and Aaron Morey to win the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win A-main. Jacob, who also grabbed the 2011 MDC Series title worth $3,000, received the Dart Heads 2011 passing points award...

Andy McDermid, of Williamston, Michigan, captured his sixth overall A Sedan National Championship at the 48th SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Road America on Sunday September 25. John Heinricy, of Holly, Michigan, finished second while David Venhaus, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was third.
It had rained at Road America early Sunday morning, and the track was still wet when the A Sedan race began. Heinricy, third on the grid in the No. 54 TAR/Hoosier/Hawk/Mobil 1 Pontiac Firebird, got a great start coming down the front straight and took the lead in Turn One. Heinricy's lead abruptly ended on Turn Two when McDermid, the Gumout pole winner, blew past behind the wheel of his #24 Weather Tech/Felice Performance Engines Ford Mustang. McDermid was able to avoid the slides and spins that befell other drivers, holding onto first for the entire 13 laps to win by a 25.838 second margin over Heinricy...
